Capital Day School offers students the opportunity to play on school basketball teams. The season usually begins in September and continues through early winter.
Teams are determined by the number of students. Typically, there is one team for girls in fifth through eighth grades, a team for fifth and sixth grade boys, and a team for seventh and eighth grade boys.
Students who participate in cross country are challenged to improve not only their endurance and athleticism, but also their ability to focus and sustain concentration.
We intend to provide an opportunity for students to accomplish new tasks and to challenge themselves and each other to improve their athletic performance, regardless of skill and performance level. We try to accomplish this via conditioning and learning of new skills in a supportive and fun environment that includes student athletes, coaches, and parents.
Capital Day School offeres cross country in the fall for grades four through eight.
