Preschool Assistant Teacher

Education: Centro de Idiomas, Mazatlan, Mexico.

Work experience: Office manager, office supervisor, customer service.

 

After living in various cities in Louisiana and Texas, plus taking full immersion Spanish classes in Mexico, I packed up and moved to Southern California. There I was able to put my Spanish to good use! After meeting my husband, while camping in Mexico, we decided to try someplace totally different – Kentucky! And now I have the most wonderful of jobs, first as a mother of a great little boy and second, as an assistant teacher with Mrs. Sandefur!

 

Why you enjoy working at CDS: 

After I had my son, I didn't want to return to office work, I had found that I truly loved working with children. Working at CDS with all of the preschoolers makes everyday an adventure. We really are a big family at this school. Plus I have the additional privilege of having my son enrolled here for the past few years and seeing him advance so much scholastically. I wouldn't want my son anywhere else and I am so happy to be here as well!

Capital Day School has such a nurturing, one-on-one attitude towards its students! Now I get the double pleasure of helping the students in our class develop and watching my son grow scholastically as well!
